Job Title: Assistant Director

Reports to: Executive Director

Location: Ohio ACTE Headquarters/Hybrid (with potential travel across Ohio)

Position Type: Exempt Salary, Reduced Schedule (30 hours per week)

Position Overview

The Assistant Director of Ohio ACTE will serve as a surrogate for the Executive Director when needed, ensuring continuity in leadership and organizational representation. This role focuses on advancing professional development for CTE professionals, supporting revenue generation efforts, and providing consulting services for Career-Technical Planning Districts (CTPDs) and pathway development. The Assistant Director will contribute to strategic initiatives, fostering growth and engagement across Ohio ACTE’s network.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Representation

  • Represent Ohio ACTE in meetings, events, and other engagements as a surrogate for the Executive Director.
  • Act as a liaison between members, Chapters, Divisions, and stakeholders to foster collaboration and engagement.

Professional Development

  • Contribute to the development of and facilitate impactful professional development opportunities tailored to the needs of CTE professionals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design workshops, webinars, and other learning opportunities that address member needs.

Organizational Revenue Generation

  • Support the organization’s revenue generation efforts through sponsorships, grants, and partnerships.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of sustainable funding strategies.

CTE Consulting and Pathway Development

  • Provide consulting services to CTPDs and schools, assisting with agreements, program development, and pathway expansion.
  • Cultivate partnerships that strengthen and expand high-quality career-technical education opportunities across Ohio.
