186-Day Contract
Requirements:
A valid Ohio career-technical education certificate or license or five years of work experience in aviation occupations.
Preferences:
Strong background in aviation theory. Effective organizational, planning, and project management skills. Ability to identify, evaluate, and implement program options, auxiliary services, and curricular materials that support the diverse learning needs of students. Experience in working with career technical student organizations. Must be able to communicate well and work collaboratively. Part 107 certification, FAA certified flight instructor certificate and familiarity with FAA regulations preferred.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver classroom and laboratory instruction to middle school and high school and middle school students. Design developmentally appropriate learning experiences that support career exploration at the middle school level and career preparation at the high school level. Provide opportunities for high school students to earn various industry credentials up to and including ground school. Evaluate student performance, work cooperatively with parents, community, business/industry, and school personnel. Serve as SkillsUSA advisor.
