About the Team 

Pathfinder Career Academy is seeking a highly qualified Virtual Agriculture CTE Teacher in Ohio who is dedicated to providing a high-quality, career-focused education for all students for the 2026-27 school year. We are seeking educators who are passionate about creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences that connect agriculture content to real-world applications, career pathways, and work-based learning opportunities. ACCEL Schools utilizes a modern, flexible curriculum model supported by both digital and traditional instructional methods.

The Virtual Agriculture CTE Teacher will provide instruction aligned to Ohio Career-Technical Education standards while supporting students in developing technical skills, industry knowledge, and career readiness within Agriculture pathways. This role ensures programming aligns with state requirements, workforce needs, and student success outcomes.

Duties Include

  • Serve as teacher of record and primary instructor for Agriculture CTE courses
  • Deliver instruction aligned to Ohio Agriculture & Environmental Systems Career Field standards
  • Plan and implement standards-based lessons that incorporate project-based learning and real-world application
  • Prepare students for industry-recognized credentials within the Agriculture field
  • Support and integrate Work-Based Learning (WBL) experiences, including career exploration, supervised agricultural experiences (SAEs), and employer connections
  • Develop, support, and oversee an active FFA (Future Farmers of America) chapter, including leadership development and participation in events (if applicable)
  • Align curriculum and instruction to WebXam end-of-course assessments
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students requiring additional academic or career readiness support
  • Monitor and support student progress toward graduation pathways and career readiness outcomes
  • Maintain accurate records including grades, attendance, student progress, and required CTE documentation
  • Collaborate with administration, CTE leadership, and support staff to ensure program quality and compliance
  • Build and maintain relationships with local industry partners, community organizations, and postsecondary institutions
  • Maintain a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment that promotes student growth and professionalism
  • Communicate regularly with students, families, and stakeholders regarding student progress and opportunities
  • Participate in required meetings, professional development, and school events
  • Support student recruitment, retention, and engagement in CTE programming
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, agriculture, or a related field
  • Valid Ohio Agriculture CTE teaching license or ability to obtain appropriate licensure
  • Strong knowledge of Agriculture industry practices and credential opportunities
  • Experience with project-based learning, experiential learning, and/or career-connected instruction
  • Understanding of Work-Based Learning and student career pathway development
  • Familiarity with Ohio CTE requirements, WebXam assessments, and program expectations preferred
  • Ability to analyze student data to inform instruction and support student success
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in technology and instructional tools
  • Ability to work with diverse student populations and support varying learning needs
  • Ability to pass required state and federal background checks

The annual starting salary for this position is between $43,000 – $51,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
